Hi Everyone,
We have finally finished our third harvest. This was a beautiful but challenging year. Our Riesling finished fermentation a few days before Christmas last year. It has its own personality from the vintage with slightly higher acid than our previous vintages which is a reflection of the cool year. The mouth feel is beautiful and it is very forward at this time in tank. It is still on lees but will be racked off soon to prepare for bottling.
The big news is that our first Chardonnay will be released in 2019. It was a wonderful year for Chardonnay. As we speak it is nestled into barrels, both oak and stainless, getting ready for months of lees stirring. We have purchased a special rolling rack on which our new French oak barrel and one of the stainless steel barrels sit, being rolled on wheels once every two weeks.
We can’t wait to share these amazing wines with you all but you’ll have to be patient. 2019 seems like a long way away but you can enjoy our soon to be released 2016 Riesling in the meantime. This looks to be on track for release this summer!
